Like I said yesterday I wasn’t expecting much from the market this week. On reflection - this is a senseless statement.
I don’t know what the market is going to do, I have no crystal ball that predicts the future. When traders do this - try and guess what the market will do, all they are doing is trying to bring some semblance of certainty to a business where uncertainty is the norm. Don’t listen to other traders when they do this and always be prepared for anything to happen in the markets. Literally anything.
When I looked at my charts pre-market I was surprised to see the indexes had made a decent move overnight. On checking the news there wasn’t a catalyst for the move. A technical move perhaps. After the market opened I waited until a discernible edge appeared. When my primary edge: the cusp trade formed perfectly at 9.55 a.m. on the ES I took the long and finished with a R2.25 for the day in the black in the NQ.
